Welcome to Fundamental Communications!
What to Expect
Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your child’s team. Our goal is to help your child reach their highest potential. We want you as a parent to feel like you have all the tools you need and to be aware of all the community resources that are available to you. We hope that you find the enclosed information helpful. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call us.
What to expect after your first session:
– You should expect to see your therapist 1-2 times a week based on your child’s evaluation.
– As part of your session, the therapist will go over things to work on at home with your child between sessions.
– As a suggestion, you may want to invest in a therapy notebook used for logging daily progress towards your child’s goals. This will also give you the opportunity to share your child’s progress related to your specific therapy at your next session.
– Your child will be re-evaluated 1-2 times a year after their initial evaluation.
Planning Ahead:
– If you need to cancel any appointments, please contact your therapist at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
– Please notify our office of any insurance changes immediately so that services can continue uninterrupted.
Understanding Milestones
Understanding your child’s developmental milestones is an important part of parenting. Failing to reach milestones or reaching them much later can be an early indicator that a child may have a developmental delay.
Check out the milestones page on our website to see if your child is hitting those goals!
